Five Years of Serving Central Florida and Delivering Hope, Together

Light Orlando is celebrating its 5th anniversary, marking five years of uniting churches, charities, businesses, government agencies, and volunteers to serve the Central Florida community.

Since its founding in 2021, Light Orlando has worked alongside community partners to deliver hope through collaborative service projects, resource distribution, volunteer mobilization, and community outreach.

Our mission is simple: Deliver Hope, Together.

We believe that when organizations and individuals work together, they can create a greater impact than any one group could accomplish alone.

OUR SIGNATURE INITIATIVES

Over the past five years, thousands of volunteers have joined Light Orlando to feed families, support students, provide clothing, strengthen neighborhoods, and bring encouragement to those facing hardship.

LIGHT ORLANDO VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE (LOVE) WEEK

LOVE Week is a community-wide volunteer experience that brings people together through service projects across Central Florida. Activities have included senior outreach, playground refurbishment, neighborhood cleanups, compassionate care projects, meal preparation, flower distribution, family events, and the annual bed build for local children in need.

ANNUAL COMMUNITY CLOTHING CLOSET CLEAN OUT

Each year, volunteers sort and distribute thousands of new and gently used clothing items, shoes, and other essential resources to partner organizations serving vulnerable individuals and families throughout Central Florida.

HUNGER PROJECT: ONE MILLION MEAL BUILD

In partnership with US Hunger and local organizations, the Hunger Project mobilizes thousands of volunteers to package meals for families experiencing food insecurity. The event has become one of Light Orlando's largest community service efforts.

ANNUAL COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS SERVICE PROJECT

Light Orlando's Christmas project brings the community together for a multi-project service event focused on children, seniors, and families in need. Volunteers prepare stockings, craft blankets and friendship items, and assemble care packages during the holiday season.

DAILY DEVOTIONALS & COMMUNITY ENCOURAGEMENT
